Understanding How The T-Con D50ud1 In An LCD TV Works

By Dorothy Anderson

Traditionally, television sets did not contain anything more than a tube covered in knobs, a scanner, wood, wires, fuses and of course, a set antennas. Technology has advanced greatly over the years and currently, even television technology is more complicated. The tasks of TV repair specialists are currently more intricate than ever, especially when addressing concerns with the T-Con D50ud1 in LCD TVs.

When the back of a modern television set is opened, you will find a power supply module or board. This will be found on the right side of the unit. The module or board in question is the heaviest and largest of all other boards on the back of the unit. The function of this module is to convert the alternating current into direct current.

Direct current travels in a single direction and this is the kind of circuit used to power LCD TVs. The model of your television will determine whether or not the power supply board and the inverter module will be combined. If your TV is receiving irregular power or no power at all, then the power supply board is certainly the source of your problem.

The timing control board or T-Con d50u-D1 is the tiniest board on your panel. You can find it at the top area at the back of the panel. Such boards are only present in LCD televisions and are typically covered by a shield. They help in controlling the TFT, circuit and thin film transistor. Among the top warning signs that your T-con board is damaged is if your screen is showing horizontal or vertical lines. Other signs to look out for include double image, no display or a white screen.

On the back side of a unit, you will find the inverter boards along the edges. Again, you will not find these boards if yours is not an LCD television. When low voltage direct current is supplied by the mode power supply, it is the inverter boards that convert this into high voltage alternate current. This gets the backlights powered. Any time your unit does not give a display or the lights are dim, these modules could be to blame.

The main module goes by various names including the digital board, motherboard and logical board. Attached to it are the audio, video and other outputs. It is the motherboard that creates digital signals from analog signals. This means that your digital board is to blame in case of color or sound problems.

The jackpack also known as the audio receiving board is separate from the main module. Its functions are to transmit sound signals to the processor, amplifier and later to the speakers located on each side of your television. A problem with the channels changing randomly or with sound is often caused by jackpack concerns.

Finding quality television accessories online is not an easy feat. There are numerous dealers and it takes research and patience to find one that can provide quality accessories. This is more so the case, when shopping for something as delicate as the d50u-D1. To be on the safe side, make sure you get a product guarantee.
