Dot-com domain marks 25th anniversary
It's amazing how fast time flies. Just 25 years ago recorded the first domain. Com by company Symbolics Computers, located in the city of Cambridge in Massachusetts, USA. A March 15, 1985, there was symbolics.com registration, but also four other domains were also recorded: BBN.com, Think.com, and MCC.com DEC.com. Later in November of that year recorded in an act Northrop.com mark the beginning of the business of domainers. No one imagined then that domain names represent a lucrative market a few years later. After the first record there was an enormous growth, as companies began to get interested in something that was in its infancy, the Internet.
After 25 years we are in a market with millions of registered domain names, with multiple endings and a tremendous boom as it is relatively easy to have a proper domain name. With the addition of new TLDs it ensures that this growth to remain active, as each day exploring new ways to have a presence on the network with a domain.
