By most modern standards, the world used to be empty. But it was not empty. There was plenty of nature in it. It was just that instead of settling down, humanity wandered around it. They went about hunting and gathering in order to keep on surviving. But eventually, a certain tribe decided to settle down. They settled near the water, because the crops they were growing, the livestock they were raising, and their own bodies all need that water. Now, these settlements would be seeds from which the modern world would grow. In the modernity, many people will end up listening as their leader reads from a presidential teleprompter.

Democracy in some way, shape, or form throughout most of the developed world. In a lot of nations, the head of state is chosen democratically, which means that almost anyone can hold the office. They are generally the most influential politicians in a given country.

A teleprompter is a screen. They are generally placed right next to a camera. Now, on that screen, there will be words that scroll by as the cameras roll. Those words will generally be a speech. Now, newscaster will make use of them as well in order to deliver the news to the public.

Most presidents makes speeches for one good reason. Because they are supposed to. It is one of the political duties that come with the office. They are supposed to speak to their citizens. It is on them to make sure that their populace has the information it needs.

Teleprompters are needed because of one simple reason. The speeches that are written for the speaker are long. They can go on forever and forever, especially if it is a state of the nation address. Those things have to cover all sorts of topics and will take hours before the end can even be begun to be approached.

The main risk that comes with one is that it can be compromised. This of course means that the content of a speech can be changed. If it gets changed, then the person reading it can say something that is not supposed to say, which can be an embarrassment at best and a declaration of war at worst.

Now, it should be easy enough to use. Just program the speech in, turn it on, and let it roll. The fact that it has been in use for decades means that it must have proven its usefulness time and time again.

Probably the most important aspect is to make sure that the speech written is good. Remembering and reading it will not matter if it does capture all the needed points and holds the attention of the audience. So having a competent speechwriter is required.

Being alive can come with some surprises. Then there are things that can predict those surprises or even control them. So they should be sought out.
