PDFCreator is a free software under the GNU GPL (but contains adware licensed owner Spigot, Inc.) to convert printable files into PDFfiles for Windows applications using a virtual printer. Since version 0.9.7 (February 2009) contains an optional adware (closed source) that is installed by default (PDF creator software download). This conversion is done through the virtual printer PDFCreator. The results obtained are documents in PDFS format, even if they do not keep the active hyperlinks are faithful to original.
