Cisco Recertification Is An Essential Tool For Those Who Work In Technology

By Mike Davis

It is essential for an individual to commit to periodic recertification, after receiving Cisco training in technology. A person can stay aware of the most recent technological procedures and advances, by attaining the necessary recertification. Recertifying may aid a professional in getting promoted within a company, securing initial employment, and keeping a job.

Up to date knowledge

Along with aiding an individual in the pursuit of continuing an education, recertification demonstrates to clients and employers that a person knows about changes in the technological industry. As technology evolves continuously, industry professionals need to remain aware of advancements that are relevant. Those professionals who do not stay informed as technology evolves are not likely to be equipped to work in the field. Many employers and clients are aware that this is true.

The training system is a thorough process, and there are established guidelines within the system that help people to remain educated. Cisco has implemented these rules so that industry professionals know exactly what they need to do, in order to stay current on their certification(s). They must register for recertification and pass the required exams.

Expiration

It is important that people know that they need to meet their particular exam requirements, before their current certification has expired. Those who do not do so must repeat the initial exam process in its entirety. The other way to keep current on a certification is to recertify by attaining the next certification level.

Three years is the expiration for professional level, associate level, and entry level certification. This means that a professional would be required to recertify within a three year period after the last certification, once associate level CCNA training has been achieved. The entry level certifications are CCENT and CCT. Several options are included in the professional and associate levels of training.

People who have achieved the expert level certifications have a two year period after the last certification, before they must recertify. The certifications at the expert level include the CCIE and CCDE certifications. Cisco expert level CCIE certifications include training in various things, such as wireless, security and collaboration.

A professional who has received Cisco architect certification has attained the CCAr certification. The CCAr is the highest certification achievable that is provided within the training system at Cisco. Recertification for a person of architect status must be achieved within five years.

Specialist certifications require a recertification at the end of two years. There is a broad assortment of specialist certifications available. People may be trained as specialists in collaboration, data center, security, operating system hardware, and video.

Cisco Training

Staying educated on the most recent changes in technology is always important. People who work in the industry must be aware of advances and know how to implement them. Cisco training provides students with the education they need to remain useful in a competitive field. Knowing the rules concerning the recertification process is helpful. A person who is aware of and follows the recertification guidelines can ultimately save time, money and effort that may be better spent elsewhere. Many professionals are grateful for the opportunity to recertify, because it greatly enhances the scope of a career in technology.
