VaultPress, support for WordPress blogs

Automattic, the company behind the development of our beloved WordPress, is debuting a service that allows users to make backups (backups) of all your blogs easily, and most importantly, in real time. With the prestige of a reputable company like Automattic, VaultPress is presented as an alternative to the typical data backup methods. Anyone who is familiar with WordPress, you know that there are many plugins that help make backup copies of information (of not only the database, but also files). The disadvantage is that many users forget to backup, or simply store the backups on the same server as the blog. If there is any problem with your ISP, it gets ugly.

VaultPress is a service designed to make all these backups automatically, constantly monitoring, and a team of "experts" who are to help in any contingency. This service is in beta and records are limited by invitation. It should be noted on a waiting list and wait to contact us to complete the registration.

There is a form where they ask things about us (experience in blogging, how many blogs you want to store, how much would pay for the service, etc.). In the beta service is free, but the suggested price is $ 25 USD per month, which I think is ridiculously excessive.

For those interested VaultPress a viable option, you can use WordPress Automatic Backup, which saves backups every day in an Amazon S3 account. The plugin is free and Amazon prices are quite low. From personal experience recommend this plugin that works automatically and saves backups every month.
