WordPress blogs are now integrated PubSubHubbub
The blogs hosted on WordPress (ie blogs whose URLs end in wordpess.com) now have the service integrated PubSubHubbub. For those not familiar with this concept, it is a new way with which it comes to the Web in real time. The aim is to provide instant updates when new content through a hub. Regarding the traditional way of providing updates (typically using feeds in either RSS or Atom) PubSubHubbub offers many advantages as for example, prevent server resources spent inefficiently, as it prevents the process of doing pings (requests) to check for changes. By incorporating this technology will be easier to distribute content, and do it methodically.
While this type of update PUSH (acronym to shorten the name) service are not yet implemented in many places, incorporating WordPress.com blogs, will surely be an interesting test to yield positive results, will leave many positive things. Perhaps in the near future deployments will begin to see different types of content.
For those with WordPress blogs and independent housing, there is a plugin called PuSHPress, which integrates easily into any PubSubHubbub blog. No further extra settings, and if it manages the feed with FeedBurner, the process is even easier.
