Facebook reaches 6 years
Facebook turned 6 years, and already exceeds a staggering 400 million users around the world.
This social network was a university project of its creators with the idea of combining several schools and was launched into cyberspace on 4 February 2004.
In just two months, December 2009 and January 2010 has increased from 350 million to 400 million people registered, ie 50 million people in 60 days ... awesome, right?
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerber said last night after his congratulations to all users in a message on their social network that will work just as hard to offer better services and easier to use for everyone.
It is incredible to see how good ideas and hard work has been arranged to take a university project that would unite the Harvard students to a global social network that connects people from anywhere in the world and allows them to share experiences, concerns, photos, videos, links and who knows what else in the near future.
Now Facebook is considering various ways to expand its network services as well as being able to take advantage economically providing advertising services.
