Twitter is now about to reach 10,000 billion short messages of less than 140 characters sent. The traffic growth is exponential and surprising tweets.

Only last year, around this time, Twitter reached over a billion tweets. Four months ago, achieved the 5,000 million tweets. Today is expected to reach 10,000 million tweets served.

And this despite the fact that indeed the social network traffic has been somewhat resentful in the past two months (especially compared to the huge growth experienced until a quarter).


But the microblogging social network, yet has managed to move from five billion to ten thousand tweets in just four months, record time for double the amount.

Furthermore, it is now quite easy to know what the tweet 10,000 million, or when it will arrive. If you look at the URL for each tweet, the number that appears at the end seems to be the number of the message.
